OpenText powers BMO & Catalent digital transformation with AI
OpenText has expanded its work with BMO and Catalent Pharma Solutions through the adoption of its AI, cloud and security solutions to enhance information management operations.
BMO, a longstanding partner of OpenText, has implemented the OpenText Content Management (Extended ECM) platform across 20 business domains. This roll-out, involving 13,000 users and over 60 workflows, aims to govern the lifecycle of information within the organisation and is designed to bolster compliance and collaboration efforts.
Alok Daga, Chief Information Officer of Corporate and Commercial Banking at BMO, commented on the integration: "At BMO, we recognise that information is a foundational aspect of delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving operational excellence. Our partnership with OpenText has been key in enabling us to scale our content management capabilities, enhance collaboration across business domains, and further embrace innovations like AI and cloud computing."
He added, "With the help of OpenText's secure, intelligent platforms, we are not only exceeding our clients' evolving aspirations, but also addressing critical regulatory and cybersecurity challenges."
OpenText's AI and cloud technology are also central to ongoing digital transformation initiatives at Catalent Pharma Solutions. Catalent is employing OpenText's private cloud solutions to assist in digitising workflows and centralising data management across multiple global manufacturing sites. The company's move is intended to meet stringent regulatory demands while creating a paperless operational environment to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Lindsay Fernandez, Vice President of Enterprise Applications at Catalent, said: "We are proud to partner with OpenText as part of our digital transformation journey as a leading CDMO delivering innovative products for pharma and biotech customers, markets that demand rigorous data management, security, and compliance."
She continued, "By embracing end-to-end digital integration of manufacturing processes with OpenText, we are realising Catalent's vision of a paperless future and building a future-ready digital ecosystem as part of our commitment to driving excellence for our customers, and the patients they serve."
OpenText's suite of products, including its flagship OpenText Cloud Editions 25.2, is being used by a variety of organisations to automate processes and improve overall operational performance. The company describes its offerings as supporting the creation of a 'digital labour force', intended to complete work more rapidly and accurately while enabling employees to focus on innovation and complex problem-solving.
Mark J. Barrenechea, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of OpenText, stated: "Business is being reimaged with the power of process automation, data and the new Digital Knowledge Worker. Information elevates all organisations, and the new digital labour force completes work faster, more accurately, and frees up human talent to drive growth, innovation and efficiencies at greater speed and scale. We are excited to partner with BMO and Catalent as they drive transformation through Information Management."
Barrenechea further commented on the company's long-term direction, saying: "For 30 years OpenText has been automating, and we're going to keep automating within a new era that also leverages the power of AI. Information is being reimagined to serve customers more intelligently than ever before. OpenText World 2024 proved just that, and this year's conference was more than a showcase of innovations; it was a testament to the power of information as the heartbeat of every organisation. With AI and information management at the forefront, the future holds limitless potential for those ready to seize it."
OpenText continues to collaborate with customers across sectors to address challenges related to cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and the modernisation of information management. The partnerships with BMO and Catalent reflect ongoing efforts by major organisations to leverage technology for improved productivity and compliance.
