Vector Solutions unveils AI tool tying safety incidents to training

Tue, 13th Jan 2026

Vector Solutions has launched an AI Safety Training Recommendation Engine that links incident reporting in Vector EHS with course assignment in the Vector Learning Management System.

The new integration automatically recommends corrective training when a safety team submits an incident record, reducing the time between investigation and retraining. The feature is designed to address repeat incidents and compliance requirements by connecting incident findings directly to relevant training.

The recommendation engine analyses information captured during incident reporting, including incident type, root cause, injury details, behaviours and contextual descriptions. Based on this data, it matches incidents with relevant courses from Vector's training library.

Investigators see a ranked list of suggested courses within the incident form, with the most relevant options labelled as "Vector Choice." Training can be assigned directly from the same screen. Once an employee completes the assigned course, the incident record updates automatically, creating an audit trail that links the incident, training assignment and completion outcome.

Safety teams often rely on manual processes to connect incident investigations with corrective training, while EHS tools and learning systems are frequently managed by separate teams. Vector positioned the new feature as a unified workflow that operates across both systems.

"When an incident occurs, safety teams need a clear, immediate next step," said Clare Epstein, General Manager of Commercial at Vector Solutions. "This removes the guesswork by connecting incident findings directly to the training that helps prevent recurrence, enabling organisations to move quickly from investigation to action and strengthen safety outcomes."

Workflow integration

The launch extends the integration between Vector's EHS management product and its learning management system. The company identified three common operational challenges addressed by the new workflow: identifying relevant training, assigning courses across disconnected systems, and confirming completion.

The recommendation engine operates as an embedded feature within Vector's Safety, Compliance and Workforce Readiness Platform. Vector provides software and training content to industrial and construction-related sectors and serves more than 24,000 clients.

Key functions include surfacing training recommendations based on incident details, removing the need to search across course catalogues or switch systems, and aligning learning responses directly with identified root causes.

Audit and reporting

Linking incident records to training assignments also strengthens audit and reporting capabilities. Assignment and completion status are automatically connected to the original incident record, supporting regulatory audits and internal reporting requirements.

In regulated environments, organisations are often required to demonstrate corrective actions following incidents, including investigation records and proof of training completion. The integrated workflow keeps this information consolidated within a single record.

The connection between Vector EHS and the Vector LMS also changes collaboration between safety and training teams by reducing manual handoffs and administrative delays that can lead to training gaps.

Customer positioning

Vector referenced Convergence LMS as part of its product portfolio, noting that customers using both Vector EHS and Convergence LMS gain additional cross-platform value. The company positioned the integration as a way to increase the impact and return on investment of safety programmes that use multiple Vector products.

Pricing for the recommendation engine was not disclosed, and no details were provided on sector-specific configurations, course catalogue size or language support.

The release forms part of Vector's broader roadmap to further align EHS functions with training delivery, with additional integrations planned across its EHS, LMS and online course platforms.
