Zoho One unveils new integrations, AI tools & interface
Zoho has unveiled a series of updates to Zoho One, its all-in-one business platform, looking to offer small and medium-sized businesses in Canada a simplified alternative to managing multiple software applications across their operations.
The latest version of Zoho One, which was first introduced in 2017, features an overhauled user interface that groups together over 50 applications. This setup aims to enable employees to access personal, departmental, or organisation-wide tools in distinct sections of a single platform. The spaces can be customised to fit unique business requirements, while a centralised search feature lets users find information and automate workflows across all connected apps without needing to switch between them.
Other additions include an Action Panel that aggregates details such as meetings, tasks, and email reminders from various apps, and a dashboard that combines data from both Zoho and third-party software in a single location. The introduction of Vani, a visual-first virtual workspace, supports collaboration through brainstorming, whiteboarding, mind mapping and video calls within the same environment.
System integrations
With the latest update, Zoho One further expands its integration capabilities. The platform now facilitates more native connections between Zoho's own suite and third-party software, streamlining how customers control, monitor and create automated workflows across systems. Features such as Smart Offboarding, identity management, and encryption key support are designed to reinforce security and reduce potential points of vulnerability for businesses managing sensitive data.
The Unified Portal enables users to manage multiple applications from a single screen, supporting customised apps and a range of integration flows that can be monitored from a central platform.
"Today's Zoho One update redesigns the user experience to address how work is evolving from an app-based system to a platform-based system. Customers are not licensing apps with Zoho One," said Chandrashekar Lalapet Srinivas Prasanna, Managing Director of Zoho Canada. "They expect Zoho to take care of the technology part and let them be productive in their business. Our enhancements with this release deliver essentially that - a unified experience delivered through unified integrations, context and data."
Artificial intelligence
Zoho's AI assistant, Zia, now has an expanded presence across the Zoho One platform. Zia can combine information from Zoho and external sources such as Google Workspace into actionable summaries, and powers features such as intelligent content management with Zia Hubs. Contract details and meeting transcripts are automatically classified and made discoverable via Zia Search.
"Businesses of all sizes and scale are struggling to battle the complexity and chaos of fragmented technology that results in inefficiency and subpar experiences for all," said Liz Miller, Vice President and Principal Analyst at Constellation Research. "Opinionated, intentional and holistically integrated platforms don't just transform how technology can be focused on delivering expected outputs that drive growth but increasingly, can be set to the task of optimizing the business outcomes everyone from the individual contributor to the executive strategist expects."
