Yesterday

TeamViewer has announced a partnership with F1 Academy, a series focused on increasing female representation in motorsport, with a commitment to collaborate over the next two years.

The F1 Academy, which will enter its third season in 2025, provides a platform for 18 female drivers to compete alongside Formula 1, aiming to enhance their skills for advancement to higher competition levels. This initiative also includes the 'F1 Academy Discover Your Drive' global programme, designed to boost female participation in motorsport in various roles on and off the track.

TeamViewer's partnership with F1 Academy marks its position as the first technology partner of the series, supporting its mission to empower women and girls in the motorsports field, encompassing roles such as drivers, engineers, R&D, and other areas integral to the sport. The company aims to provide experiences for its customers, partners, and community through F1 Academy races and will contribute to the Wild Card entry in Round 5 by designing a special edition livery and race suit.

Susie Wolff, Managing Director of F1 Academy, commented, "Our mission is all about breaking down barriers, on and off the track, and we're proud to welcome TeamViewer as an Official Partner to support this. TeamViewer's initiatives to support more inclusivity in sports, and particularly sports technology, highlights its commitment to embracing our vision. Together we will be a driving force behind opportunities for women in motorsport and fuel innovation both on and off the track."

The partnership also extends to facilitating conversations on gender equality and diversity at events such as Female Quotient gatherings throughout the racing season. TeamViewer intends to create notable opportunities through their involvement with F1 Academy, aligning with the shared goal of fostering an inclusive environment within motorsport.

TeamViewer CEO Oliver Steil remarked, "We are excited to be an Official Partner of F1 Academy. The opportunity to overcome barriers and co-innovate with F1 Academy will only grow as the series continues to gain traction and followers around the world. With its racing series and grassroots initiatives like F1 Academy Discover Your Drive, being a part of the journey to make motorsport more diverse, inclusive and accessible is one we are proud to be a part of."

This collaboration seeks to not only advocate for inclusivity and diversity but to encourage broader female participation in an industry historically dominated by men, fostering transformative change across various sectors.
