TCS & Salesforce team up to boost AI for manufacturers
Tata Consultancy Services has announced a collaboration with Salesforce aimed at enhancing AI capabilities for manufacturers and semiconductor suppliers, focusing on data-driven insights to improve sales and service efficiency.
The partnership will see the launch of three initiatives: the Semiconductor Sales Accelerator, Seller for the Future, and Digital Field Service. These initiatives are designed to enhance sales processes, field operations, and customer experiences by leveraging AI and cloud technology.
Data management is a common challenge for organisations, especially large ones where data is often siloed and unstructured. The collaboration between TCS and Salesforce is set to help manufacturing and semiconductor clients overcome these issues, transforming how they sell and service their products.
Indira Gillingham, Vice President of Alliances at Salesforce, stated, "We are excited to collaborate with TCS to bring transformative AI and data-driven solutions across industries through Salesforce Data Cloud. Leveraging TCS' extensive industry expertise, deep knowledge of complex data landscapes, and the power of TCS CrystallusTM on Salesforce, combined with Salesforce's leading CRM capabilities, we enable customers to harness advanced Vector Database solutions for AI-powered insights."
The Semiconductor Sales Accelerator aims to address the challenges of navigating complex technical data quickly and accurately, meeting customer demands effectively and reducing cycle times. This system will combine TCS's semiconductor market expertise with Salesforce's AI and cloud solutions.
Prashant Shirgur, Global Head of Enterprise Solutions for Technology, Software and Services at TCS, commented, "In today's fast-paced semiconductor market, access to accurate, real-time information is essential for sales success, and TCS is committed to equipping clients with the insights they need to efficiently grow their business. TCS CrystallusTM on Salesforce equips sales teams with the intelligent tools they need to engage customers with confidence, shorten sales cycles, and drive revenue growth."
The impact of this accelerator is expected to extend beyond enhancing operational efficiency. By equipping sales teams with AI-driven insights and freeing them from routine tasks, organisations can focus more on customer relationships, which is predicted to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
The Seller for the Future initiative is designed to provide sales teams with a comprehensive view of customer data, facilitating the anticipation of customer needs and identification of cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
The Digital Field Service initiative aims to modernise field service operations, providing technicians with real-time updates, predictive maintenance information, and optimisation of schedules through AI and IoT technology. This initiative is expected to reduce downtime and maintenance costs while improving technician efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Amit Bajaj, Salesforce Global Practice Head, Enterprise Solutions, at TCS, said, "TCS is dedicated to empowering industries with the digital tools they need to thrive in today's dynamic market. Our mission is to equip our clients with the digital core they need in order to thrive amid constant changes. Our work with Salesforce underscores this commitment, and we have a long track record of servicing companies in manufacturing and semiconductor industries. We are excited to deliver solutions that will drive tangible business value for our clients."
This collaboration marks another significant step for TCS, fortifying its presence in North America where it operates with over 46,000 associates and has numerous sales, delivery, and data centre locations. Over its 50-year tenure in the region, TCS has positioned itself as a key partner for digital transformation initiatives.
