Owl Labs launches subscription service for hybrid devices
Fri, 19th Jun 2026 (Today)
Owl Labs has launched Owl 360 Services, a subscription service for IT administrators managing hybrid meeting devices. The service has three tiers, with a free Core level included on all Owl Labs devices worldwide.
The launch adds a recurring service layer to the company's video conferencing hardware business, with paid plans offering broader management tools, analytics and support for larger deployments.
Owl 360 Services is aimed at organisations that have expanded hybrid meeting setups across multiple rooms and need central oversight of device fleets. Every existing and newly purchased device will be enrolled automatically in the Core tier at no extra cost.
The entry-level tier includes remote management, standard support and a two-year warranty. It also gives IT teams access to usage data, including talk-time insights, meeting duration tracking, visibility into the most-used devices and rooms, bulk deployment tools, update management and device tracking.
The paid Enhanced tier will be sold directly and adds advanced analytics, dashboards, meeting record history and API integrations. Pricing starts at USD $79 per device per year, with options for larger deployments.
For larger roll-outs, Owl Labs is offering an Enterprise tier through authorised channel partners in North America. The plan starts at USD $149 per device annually on a four-year upfront commitment and includes a four-year warranty, expedited hardware replacement, on-site spare devices, a dedicated account manager, advanced analytics, dashboards, meeting record history and priority support.
The service is designed to address a common challenge for IT departments as meeting technology spreads across more office spaces: keeping devices updated, monitored and supported from a central point. The addition of API integrations in the Enhanced tier also indicates Owl Labs wants its products to feed data into broader workplace management systems used by large companies.
Chief Executive Officer Frank Weishaupt outlined that goal in a statement on the launch.
"Owl 360 Services marks a major step forward in how enterprises support and scale hybrid work with Owl Labs," Weishaupt said.
"As organisations expand their use of Owl Labs technology across more meeting spaces, they need deeper intelligence and more centralised control to keep every room running smoothly. Owl 360 Services brings those capabilities together, helping IT teams support larger fleets, deploy devices at scale, and deliver a consistent, high-quality meeting experience across every space."
The service arrives as hardware makers in the hybrid work market seek steadier software and support revenue alongside device sales. By enrolling all devices in the Core tier from launch, Owl Labs is also using products already installed in customer offices as a base for potential upgrades to paid plans.
The Core level applies globally, while the Enhanced plan will be available worldwide for direct purchase. The Enterprise offer is currently limited to North America and will be sold only through authorised channel partners.
Owl Labs has also recently completed Microsoft Teams certification across its peripheral range after the Meeting Owl 5 Pro gained approval. The certification now covers the Meeting Owl 5 Pro, Meeting Owl 4+, Meeting Owl 3 and Owl Bar, giving the company a fully certified portfolio for customers using Microsoft's workplace communications platform.
Boston-based Owl Labs makes 360-degree video conferencing devices for hybrid meetings, combining camera, microphone and speaker functions in products designed to capture participants around a room. The business has raised USD $47 million in funding.
The new service structure gives Owl Labs a clearer way to segment customers by deployment size, from basic fleet oversight to support arrangements for larger installations. It also places greater emphasis on analytics as a selling point in meeting-room technology, positioning data on room usage and device activity as part of the management offering rather than a simple hardware add-on.
Pricing starts at USD $79 per device per year for Enhanced and USD $149 per device annually for Enterprise, while the Core tier is included with every Owl Labs device globally.
