Nureva and AudioCodes have received Microsoft Teams Rooms certification for a joint Android-based room system for medium-sized spaces. The certification covers a combination of audio, camera and room control products built on the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform.

The certified setup combines Nureva's HDL310 audio conferencing system with AudioCodes' RXVCam70 PTZ camera, RXV200-ES Android Intelligent AV Hub and RX-PAD-ES Meeting Room Controller.

The package is aimed at meeting rooms and learning spaces where organisations want a complete Android-based Teams Rooms deployment without separate digital signal processors, custom programming, tabletop microphones or ceiling microphones.

The certification comes as workplace technology suppliers push more tightly integrated room systems that can be deployed and managed through standard software tools. Microsoft's Device Ecosystem Platform gives hardware makers a common Android-based framework for devices used with Teams.

Room setup

The HDL310 connects directly to the RXV200-ES hub through a USB cable, reducing cabling and the number of networked devices in a room. The RX-PAD-ES controller manages the wider room setup, including volume, mute and microphone gain, along with calibration prompts and device updates.

The system combines Nureva's room audio coverage with AudioCodes' camera tracking and room control. Nureva said its Microphone Mist technology creates thousands of virtual microphones across a space to provide pickup throughout the room, while AudioCodes contributes dual-lens camera hardware and the Teams Rooms control interface.

The combination reflects a wider trend in hybrid meeting technology, as suppliers try to reduce the need for bespoke audiovisual integration in standard meeting rooms. Buyers have increasingly sought products that can be installed with limited specialist configuration and managed by IT teams rather than only by AV staff.

Collaboration push

The newly certified room system is part of a broader collaboration between the two companies. They said the work also adds to their existing reference designs, certifications, platform integrations and management tools.

For AudioCodes, the arrangement extends its position in Microsoft Teams Rooms hardware beyond hubs and controllers into more complete room bundles with partner audio products. For Nureva, the certification gives its HDL310 another route into Teams Rooms environments where customers are standardising on Android-based systems.

Demand for complete Android-based conferencing systems has been rising across offices and educational settings, underscoring the commercial focus of the launch.

"Nureva's groundbreaking audio technology provides the consistent, high-quality input necessary to power AudioCodes' intelligent meeting room solutions," said Nati Davidi, VP, Devices Business Line, at AudioCodes. "Built on MDEP, our devices for Microsoft Teams Rooms offer secure, reliable management and orchestration of the complete meeting room setup. We're excited to offer this jointly certified solution to help IT and AV teams deliver great hybrid meeting and learning experiences across their offices and campuses."

The Microsoft certification applies to medium-sized spaces, a core battleground for room technology vendors because it covers a large share of typical office meeting rooms and many teaching environments. In these spaces, procurement decisions often hinge on ease of installation, the ability to manage devices centrally and whether a package can support both in-room and remote participants without extensive extra hardware.

Nureva has focused its room audio business on reducing installation complexity in larger spaces, while AudioCodes has built a portfolio around voice, unified communications and room systems tied closely to platforms such as Microsoft Teams. The joint certification gives customers a defined configuration rather than requiring them to assemble and validate a mix of products independently.

"This certification is an important milestone in expanding ecosystem options for IT professionals looking to simplify Microsoft Teams Rooms," said Nancy Knowlton, Chief Executive Officer, Nureva. "By combining our advanced audio with trusted devices from AudioCodes, we're offering a flexible, high-performance MDEP-powered Teams Rooms solution for Android that works right out of the box."
