Infobip refreshes leadership team with four promotions

Fri, 16th Jan 2026

Infobip has appointed four senior executives to new and expanded leadership roles, including a new Chief Innovation Officer post and a Board appointment for its Chief Alliances Officer.

The cloud communications company said the changes take effect on 1 January 2026. The moves include promotions from within Infobip and add new responsibilities across innovation, revenue, alliances and operations.

Infobip named Krešo Žmak as Chief Innovation Officer. The company created the role and assigned Žmak responsibility for company-wide change initiatives. Infobip said the remit links innovation work with business goals. The company said artificial intelligence forms a central focus for the role. It said the work includes AI adoption across its product portfolio and an organisational shift towards an AI-first approach.

Ante Pamuković has taken the role of Chief Revenue Officer. Infobip said Pamuković will work on revenue strategy. It said the role covers alignment across regions and teams. The company also linked the role to innovation and operational execution. Infobip said it expects more use of automation and AI in go-to-market activity. It also said it will focus on customer value and customer experience.

Infobip also expanded the remit of Veselin Vuković. He has joined the Board of Directors as Chief Alliances Officer. Vuković joined Infobip in 2010. Infobip said he has served as Chief Alliances Officer since January 2025. The company said the Board role includes oversight of business operations and responsibility for approving governance, strategic and operational decisions.

Igor Dvoršak has become Senior Vice President of Operations. Infobip said he will oversee all VP General Managers. It said the structure aims to simplify internal lines and tighten coordination across regions. Infobip also assigned Dvoršak responsibility for Strategy Development and Market Intelligence. The company said it expects a closer connection between operational decisions and market insight.

Internal promotions

Infobip framed the changes as a leadership refresh built around executives who have worked at the company for many years. The company linked the appointments to its longer-term strategy and changing market conditions. It also tied the changes to its anniversary year.

Infobip operates in the communications platform as a service market. It sells tools that businesses use to communicate with customers across messaging channels. Its product set also includes identity, user authentication and contact centre software. The company said its network footprint reaches more than seven billion devices and connects through more than 10,000 connections, including more than 800 direct operator connections.

The leadership changes concentrate on areas that have drawn increased attention in the CPaaS market over the past two years, including the use of AI in customer engagement and the use of automation in commercial operations. The Board appointment also points to a higher profile for alliances work. Partnerships with mobile operators, platforms and systems integrators have remained a key route to market in CPaaS and adjacent customer engagement segments.

Board role

Infobip said Vuković's Board position will cover governance and operational decision-making. The company did not disclose whether the appointment changes the size of the Board or alters other Board roles.

The company also did not provide detail on reporting lines for the new Chief Innovation Officer position, or how responsibilities will sit alongside product and engineering functions. It said Žmak will lead change initiatives across the business and drive alignment between innovation work and business goals.

Market signals

Infobip has positioned itself in recent years against larger CPaaS groups and against newer customer engagement vendors that bundle messaging with software for marketing and service teams. It has also promoted its work in fraud prevention and conversational AI.

The company cited recent recognition from research firms and industry rankings. These included Gartner's Magic Quadrant for CPaaS, Juniper Research reports in messaging fraud prevention and RCS business messaging, Omdia's CPaaS Universe report and IDC's CPaaS MarketScape.

A spokesperson did not add financial detail alongside the leadership announcements. Infobip did not announce changes to its wider executive team beyond the four roles named.

Silvio Kutić, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Infobip, said: "By appointing these senior executives from within the company, we are strengthening our leadership framework to seize the opportunities ahead. Having grown with Infobip for many years, these leaders embody our company's journey. This year, we celebrate our 20th anniversary, marking two decades of innovation and growth. To support our long-term strategy and maintain our lead, we must be prepared to continually restart and evolve, consistently adapting to the needs of our customers and the market."
