Ignition Technology expands into North America with Exclusive Networks
Ignition Technology has launched its distribution services in North America through a partnership with Exclusive Networks, extending the cybersecurity distributor's operations beyond EMEA.
The expansion gives Ignition a presence in one of the world's largest cybersecurity markets and creates what it described as two-way routes for vendors seeking channel partnerships in North America and EMEA. It forms part of a wider plan to increase revenue to more than €500 million over the next three years.
Ignition has built its business around distributing cybersecurity products from newer vendors through channel partners. Its model is intended to help emerging suppliers expand their channel reach while giving partners access to technologies aimed at current security threats.
Chief executive Peter Ledger said the company had already tested that approach across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
"We're thrilled to be expanding into North America through our collaboration with Exclusive Networks," Ledger said. "Ignition was created with a clear mission - to help early-stage cybersecurity innovators nurture, grow and scale, while enabling channel partners to differentiate, stay relevant and create value for customers. Over the past decade, we've proven this approach across EMEA, building a $250m-plus business. Working with Exclusive Networks to expand our footprint into North America is a natural next step, and one we believe will create significant value across the entire cybersecurity ecosystem."
Ignition reported FY2025 revenue of €280 million across EMEA, up 30% year on year. That growth underpins the next phase of its geographic expansion as it seeks a larger share of the global cybersecurity distribution market.
Launch line-up
The initial North American vendor line-up includes ExtraHop, Zluri, Docker, Sendmarc, PagerDuty and Meter. Their products span network detection and response, identity security, container software development, email authentication, operations management and enterprise networking.
For Exclusive Networks, the partnership creates another route to bring specialist cybersecurity vendors into the North American channel. James Walters, vice president of strategic partnerships and alliances for North America, described Ignition as a support structure for companies trying to build market presence quickly.
"Disruptive lighthouse vendors need more than visibility, they need the right support structure to scale fast and win early. Ignition provides that engine by combining deep channel expertise, hands-on enablement and integrated hyperscaler pathways that accelerate how high-growth vendors enter and expand in the market," Walters said. "We have created a launchpad where innovators can strengthen their business models, sharpen their go-to-market strategies and reach partners at the pace today's market demands."
Sean Remant, chief strategy officer at Ignition Technology, said the North American move would bring the company closer to a large share of the cybersecurity vendor base and allow it to support adoption earlier in the sales cycle.
"Our partnership with Exclusive opens up the world's largest cybersecurity market and brings us closer to the source of much of the industry's cyber innovation," Remant said. "Being closer to where many of these technologies originate gives us earlier visibility and a stronger ability to support their adoption. The challenge isn't innovation, it's translating that into something partners can deliver and customers can operationalise - Ignition bridges that gap. Expanding into North America strengthens our ability to do that, while creating new opportunities for technologies on both sides of the Atlantic."
Channel focus
The strategy reflects continued demand from vendors for distributors that can help them navigate partner ecosystems across multiple regions. It also highlights the role of specialist distributors in taking newer cybersecurity products from early adoption to broader commercial rollout through resellers, service providers and other channel partners.
One of the vendors in the launch line-up said the arrangement could shorten the route into enterprise customers through the channel.
"Partners remain the front line of defense for today's businesses, and the escalating pace and sophistication of cyber threats demand more advanced, high-impact technologies," said Sacha Matulovich, co-founder and chief strategy officer at Sendmarc. "Exclusive Networks understands that urgency, and through the Ignition partnership has created a true fast-track for companies like ours to help enterprises protect their domains, prevent email impersonation and safeguard brand trust at scale, bringing next-generation cybersecurity solutions to the channel with greater speed, confidence and impact."
