Ellie.ai partners with CData to boost data connectivity

Thu, 20th Feb 2025

Ellie.ai and CData Software have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing data connectivity for users of the Ellie.ai data modeling platform.

The partnership provides Ellie users with access to CData's cloud-based data connectivity service, directly integrated into the Ellie.ai platform. This integration allows customers to connect seamlessly to hundreds of data sources.

Ellie.ai offers a collaborative environment for data modeling and design, enabling teams to build and document data models through an intuitive, visual interface. The new collaboration with CData aims to meet the increasing demand from data teams for easier access to over 160 business data solutions and source systems, thereby facilitating more efficient management of enterprise data models.

With the implementation of CData's extensive library of data connectors, Ellie.ai users can now establish direct connections to various cloud applications, databases, and enterprise systems. This partnership is aimed at expanding data connectivity options for Ellie customers.

The partners have identified several key benefits, including expanded data connectivity for over 160 data sources, faster data modeling through real-time connections, reduced complexity via no-code integration, and a seamless user experience due to the combination of Ellie's AI-assisted features with direct access to source systems.

"We're revolutionising data modeling and collaboration between IT and business users when building data products. Our mission is to drastically reduce the traditionally high failure rate in data and analytics projects and to eliminate re-work due to lack of common understanding of needs," said Sami Hero, CEO of Ellie.ai. "With the help of CData, we can radically reduce the time to market when it comes to creating models that are easy to understand, reflect reality and scale with the needs of the business."

Manish Patel, CPO at CData Software, added, "By embedding access to CData's connectors in their platform, Ellie.ai has transferred the burden of building and maintaining connectors to us, so they can turn their full attention to product innovation. Now, Ellie customers can build and scale enterprise data models with greater efficiency - eliminating integration challenges and accelerating time to insight."

Patel also highlighted how CData's unified metadata layer facilitates seamless data access and organisation across multiple sources, enhancing Ellie.ai's business intelligence capabilities.

The integration is already available to Ellie customers, offering streamlined data connectivity and enhanced modeling capabilities through the combined offerings of Ellie and CData.
