Dell unveils new range of Pro Plus monitors for productivity

Dell Technologies has introduced a new suite of monitors and displays designed for various uses including work, entertainment, and everyday purposes.

The announcement includes the release of the Dell Pro Plus Monitors range, which the company claims to provide exceptional performance, seamless connectivity, and enhanced collaboration. The monitors are targeted primarily at business professionals seeking to boost productivity and improve their work environment. "Dell Technologies is strengthening its monitor range with new Dell Pro Plus Monitors that deliver exceptional performance, seamless connectivity and enhanced collaboration, making them the ideal choice for business professionals," the company stated.

Among the new offerings, the Dell Pro 14 Plus Portable Monitor (P1425) is presented as a practical solution for professionals on the move. This 14-inch portable IPS display features a 16:10 aspect ratio, ComfortView Plus for comfort during prolonged use, and flexibility with its autorotation capability. Particular emphasis is placed on its USB-C connectivity which supports video, data transfer, and 65W charging, facilitating a streamlined experience for the mobile workforce.

The Dell Pro 34 Plus USB-C Hub Monitor (P3425WE) and Dell Pro 32/27 Plus 4K USB-C Hub Monitor (P2725QE) are another highlight, offering WQHD and 4K resolutions respectively. Designed for enhanced productivity, these monitors come with a higher refresh rate, quick access pop-out ports, and RJ45 for Ethernet connectivity. They are positioned as suitable for professionals including analysts and IT administrators, providing compatibility with both Windows and macOS.

For collaborative environments, the Dell Pro 75 Plus 4K Touch Monitor (P7525QT) is tailored for conference rooms and shared office spaces. Featuring a 75-inch display, 20-point touch technology, and support for Crestron network installations, this monitor aims to streamline meetings and presentations. Connectivity options such as the daisy-chaining capability enhance its utility in large setups.

In addition to professional-focused offerings, Dell has also introduced the Dell Plus monitors that focus on audiovisual performance, catering to both recreational and professional needs. "Dell Plus monitors offer elevated audiovisual performance, perfect for play, school or work and ideal for users seeking sleek design and versatility," said Dell. The Dell 34 Plus USB-C Monitor (S3425DW) and Dell 27 Plus 4K USB-C Monitor (S2725QC) offer upgraded features such as improved refresh rates and contrast ratios, aiming to provide an immersive user experience.

A distinctive feature of the new lineup is the Dell Display and Peripheral Manager (DDPM), described as an industry-first application. This software enables users and IT administrators to manage and optimise all Dell displays and peripherals, including docks. The application includes Easy Arrange for screen partitioning, customisation options, and features that automatically adjust screen settings based on user preferences. It also facilitates remote management, enhancing the efficiency of IT operations considerably.

Sources from Dell Technologies noted that these monitors could potentially increase productivity by up to 59%, enhance accuracy in AI outputs by 56%, and significantly improve collaboration and task efficiency based on studies by Forrester. The availability of these products is staggered, with certain models available immediately or scheduled for release in early 2025.
