Dayforce deepens alliance with Deloitte on payroll tools

Dayforce has formed a strategic alliance with Deloitte, expanding the companies' existing relationship.
The alliance covers joint sales, project delivery and co-development of new products on the Dayforce Agentic HCM Platform, initially focused on HR and payroll transformation.
It builds on a delivery relationship that began when Deloitte became a Dayforce systems integrator in 2024. This next phase adds shared go-to-market activity in the United States and development of new software within the Dayforce platform.
Both companies are positioning the tie-up around demand from employers updating HR and payroll systems while managing changing workforce requirements, tighter regulation and growing use of artificial intelligence in business processes.
Payroll focus
One of the first products under the alliance is a Deloitte application for Dayforce Build, a tool within the Dayforce platform that allows customers and partners to create apps, bots and documents. The application is designed to manage SOX 404 payroll control reviews, variance checks and sign-offs within Dayforce while maintaining an audit trail.
The focus on payroll controls reflects the growing importance of governance and auditability in payroll operations, as HR and finance teams manage compliance requirements alongside day-to-day administration. The application is intended to reduce the amount of manual audit evidence collected during audit cycles.
The alliance will also include more Dayforce training for Deloitte practitioners, increasing the pool of certified staff available for customer projects. Both companies said this should support larger, more complex deployments by aligning planning, solution design and delivery from the outset.
Broader relationship
The move also signals a broader effort by Dayforce to deepen its partner ecosystem around its HCM platform. By working with consulting firms that bring payroll, human capital and controls expertise, software vendors can extend their reach into large transformation programmes where implementation risk and compliance concerns often shape buying decisions.
Deloitte is among the first organisations building on Dayforce Build. The companies plan to use the arrangement as a basis for additional industry and compliance products developed natively within the Dayforce platform rather than through external integrations or separate vendors.
Beata Reimer, Group Vice President, Global Partner Ecosystem, at Dayforce, said the agreement expands how the two companies will work together.
"This alliance expands how we work with Deloitte - from implementation to go-to-market and co-innovation," said Beata Reimer, Group Vice President, Global Partner Ecosystem, at Dayforce.
"By bringing Deloitte's human capital, payroll, and controls experience together with the Dayforce platform, we can help customers transform with greater confidence and continue creating value long after go-live. Deloitte's payroll controls application is an early example of what we can build together," Reimer said.
Deloitte framed the partnership around client demand for broader transformation work rather than software replacement alone.
"Our clients want a transformation that delivers outcomes, not just a new system. With Deloitte's Dayforce advisory, implementation, and Operate services, we bring HR and payroll depth to a platform built for how work actually happens, and a faster, lower-risk path to value for clients," said Chetan Jain, Principal, US HR Strategy and Technology Offering Leader, Deloitte Consulting.
The companies said the alliance combines Dayforce technology with Deloitte's industry and transformation experience to address workforce and compliance needs through a single platform, starting with payroll controls and extending to other solutions built directly into Dayforce.
