CYFOX launches OmniSec GenAI for enhanced cybersecurity

Today

CYFOX has announced the release of OmniSec GenAI vCISO, a new platform designed to streamline cybersecurity and regulatory compliance for organisations.

OmniSec GenAI vCISO aims to assist Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and Data Protection Officers (DPOs) by reducing their workloads, while ensuring that organisations meet evolving regulatory demands. According to CYFOX, the product is beneficial for security teams with limited resources, organisations struggling with compliance issues, and companies seeking to reduce security costs and risks.

The new platform automates security auditing processes and offers dynamic compliance framework updates tailored to suit individual organisational needs.

Joseph Tal, CEO of CYFOX, noted the system's comprehensive approach, stating, "OmniSec's automated system has the time that understaffed security teams lack to burrow into all aspects of a company's network, from the IT, IoT, and OT to individual devices to ensure compliance and security."

OmniSec is designed to transform the compliance process from a reactive model to a more proactive and automated system. The platform utilises large language models to process a wide range of compliance frameworks, such as NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS. The system comprehensively automates gap analyses across various data forms, including both structured and unstructured data.

The platform provides mitigation and remediation plans based on these gap analyses, with automated processes conducted through OmniSec. For tasks requiring manual intervention, stakeholders are guided step-by-step. This approach is intended to reduce operational fatigue and enhance visibility for CISOs and DPOs.

The platform also evaluates existing security measures, such as firewalls, identity and access management tools, and data loss prevention systems. It provides capabilities for discovering policy violations, facilitating training program deployment, and reinforcing regulatory and organisational security policies.

A feature of OmniSec is its ability to generate real-time reports, delivering audit-ready documentation and up-to-date insights on security posture and compliance statuses. This aims to reduce the frequency of manual audits required by the organisations.

OmniSec offers automated threat detection and risk assessment capabilities by analysing both network and endpoint data. The platform enables organisations to address emerging threats proactively and manage risks more effectively.

Tal highlighted the platform's benefits, stating, "We created a platform that combines all the best features of generally available security and compliance tools but without the related alert fatigue and overwhelming mitigation tasks."
