Nüu Catering launches platform to streamline office meal orders

Fri, 10th Oct 2025

Toronto-based startup Nüu Catering has launched a platform specialising in catering services exclusively for office workplaces.

Nüu Catering aims to address long-standing challenges in group meal ordering for office environments by providing a service that allows individual employees to select their meals while streamlining delivery and logistics for businesses.

The company was founded by experienced restaurant operators and positions itself as a solution both for businesses seeking efficient workplace meal coordination and for restaurants looking to boost sales during typically slower periods of the day.

Group ordering

The signature feature of Nüu's platform, "Order Together", enables each employee within a participating company to choose their meal individually, replacing the traditional single-person group ordering approach. This process is designed to accommodate various preferences and dietary needs across larger teams.

Nüu Catering also provides dedicated concierge support for human resources professionals and office administrators. This includes assistance with meal planning, order management, and delivery coordination, intending to reduce the administrative burden of providing group meals in workplace settings.

"We're reimagining the way offices experience food, making it simpler, more inclusive and more enjoyable for every team member," says Fahim Ahmadi, Co-Founder of Nüu Catering. "Mealtimes should bring people together, and our platform is designed to make that happen."

As companies in Toronto increasingly return to full-time in-person work, the service seeks to contribute to the restoration of office culture by making shared meals more accessible. The Ontario government has announced intentions for public service employees to return to offices five days a week starting in 2026. Nüu Catering founders cite this as a motivation to develop solutions tailored to a changing workplace environment.

Co-Founder Fahim Ahmadi said, "With the Ontario government mandating public service employees back in the office five days a week starting in 2026, we see a clear need for solutions that make the workplace more engaging. Shared meals are one of the simplest and most effective ways to build connection, and Nüu is here to make that process seamless for employers and enjoyable for employees."

Restaurant partnerships

The platform has formed partnerships with several Toronto restaurants, including Union Chicken, Ramona's Kitchen, and What-A-Bagel. These collaborations provide companies with a variety of menu options for group orders. Nüu Catering states that all packaging used in meal deliveries is environmentally responsible.

The founders of Nüu specifically set out to create a business model that differs from other meal delivery services, which typically focus on increasing restaurant sales during peak dining hours. Nüu's intention is to generate additional revenue for restaurants during off-peak times while minimising any impact on dine-in trade.

Ahmadi commented, "We're reimagining the way offices experience food, making it simpler, more inclusive and more enjoyable for every team member. Mealtimes should bring people together, and our platform is designed to make that happen."

Workplace culture

Nüu Catering argues that shared workplace meals can play a significant role in building a sense of connection within office environments. The platform seeks to make such experiences practical and manageable for Canadian businesses as office-based work increases across major cities like Toronto.

The company's focus on office catering, group ordering features, and restaurant partnerships positions it as a specialist in the local food-tech market.
