Exegy expands Axiom platform with real-time Canadian data feeds
Exegy has announced the expansion of its Axiom market data platform to include real-time, low-latency Canadian equity data via the TMX Information Processor (IP).
The inclusion of Canadian equity feeds in Axiom, Exegy's market data-as-a-service platform, allows clients to access key Canadian feeds such as the Canadian Best Bid and Offer (CBBO), Consolidated Data Feed (CDF), and Consolidated Last Sale (CLS). Access is facilitated through existing cross-connects to Exegy's New York point of presence, which removes the necessity for clients to establish new infrastructure specific to Canada.
Axiom is designed to provide reliable access to real-time market data from over 300 trading venues globally. This newly added support for Canadian equities is a response to growing demand among Exegy's global client base and is positioned as part of the firm's focus on minimising both cost and operational complexity for trading organisations.
The TMX IP integration enables Exegy's clients to select their subscriptions with flexibility, choosing from any combination of the three major Canadian equity feeds provided by TMX Datalinx. These feeds are significant for market participants requiring consolidated and timely market data for trading and compliance operations.
The company has highlighted that by removing the need for dedicated Canadian infrastructure or co-location, clients can streamline their operations, potentially reduce their datacentre footprint, and speed up their time-to-market.
Arnaud Derasse, Chief Technology Officer at Exegy, described the impact of the TMX IP integration:
"By integrating TMX IP into our Axiom platform, we're removing the barriers to accessing Canadian equities market data. Our clients can now expand their coverage effortlessly, with zero technical lift. With a simple subscription, they can instantly tap into Canadian feeds using infrastructure they already rely on - making this a cost-effective and simple solution."
The integration is compatible with existing client connections in New York, which is intended to make adoption straightforward for global financial institutions already leveraging Exegy's managed services and trading technology.
Clients have the choice to access one, two, or all three of the new feeds:
- CBBO - Canadian Best Bid and Offer
- CDF - Consolidated Data Feed
- CLS - Consolidated Last Sale
According to the company, this development allows financial organisations to reduce the need for separate and dedicated Canadian data infrastructure, traditionally required for direct access to these markets. The centralisation of access via the New York point of presence intends to simplify technology stacks and cut associated operational costs.
This addition to Axiom follows the earlier introduction of Exegy Nexus, a market data platform powered by field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology, which was launched in June 2025. Exegy reported that Nexus delivers over 40% in cost savings, building on its broader strategy to offer solutions that are both cost-efficient and scalable for a diverse range of capital market participants. The company states that both Axiom and Nexus reflect its aim to provide efficient and future-ready technology infrastructure to financial institutions.
